The Challenge
TuneMatch AI needed to translate the mood of a photo into music that actually fits - wrapping two complex integrations (image understanding and music recommendation) inside an interface simple enough for anyone to use in seconds.
Our Contribution
I developed TuneMatch AI (VibeMatch) from scratch using React Native. The app uses artificial intelligence to understand the mood of your photos and match them with songs that fit the atmosphere. Users can upload any photo, and the AI analyzes it to suggest 3 personalized song matches. The app features a clean, modern interface and integrates with OpenAI for image analysis and Spotify for music recommendations. I handled the complete development process including the AI integration, UI/UX design, and deployment to the Google Play Store.
What we delivered
- Developed the entire app from scratch in React Native for iOS and Android
- Integrated OpenAI to analyze each photo and infer its mood and atmosphere
- Connected the Spotify API to surface three tailored song matches per image
- Designed a clean, modern UI/UX around a one-tap core interaction
- Managed the full pipeline through release on the App Store and Google Play
