The Challenge

Moo Lander is an ambitious, mechanically rich action-adventure that had to feel great to play and run smoothly on very different hardware - from PC down to the Nintendo Switch. It needed cohesive core systems, polished game feel, and a reliable path to ship on four platforms at once.

Our Contribution

As a core team member, I played a key role in all aspects of Moo Lander's creation. I handled tasks such as building the core game systems, designing how the game works, creating the menus and animations, shaping the overall game design, optimizing the game performance and adding 3rd party features. I also implemented local multiplayer functionality and level building. Additionally, I handled part of the porting process to some of the consoles.

What we delivered

  • Built the core game systems and gameplay mechanics from the ground up
  • Designed menus, animations and the overall moment-to-moment game feel
  • Implemented local multiplayer and the in-game level-building tools
  • Optimized performance to hit a stable frame rate across all target hardware
  • Handled part of the console porting to ship on Switch
  • Integrated third-party features and platform services
